Ukraine’s furniture industry faces a severe shortage of skilled professionals, especially woodworking machine operators and furniture designers. This talent gap slows industry growth, reduces efficiency, and makes it difficult for businesses to find qualified specialists.
Thus another key challenge? Attracting career changers, veterans, young professionals, and other motivated individuals to train in the field. The goal was to enroll 105 students, with 35 in each of the three cohorts.
To bridge this workforce gap, the "School of Furniture Maker" was launched as a free educational program featuring:
Specialized training for two key roles: woodworking machine operators and furniture designers.
Intensive 2–4 week courses for rapid skill acquisition
Direct employer collaboration to connect graduates with job opportunities
To successfully launch and attract students, our team:
Conducted market research and defined the project’s positioning
Managed the school’s launch, including website and brand identity development
Led communications, including SMM, PR, and partnerships with Work.ua, Osvita.ua, Happy Monday, the State Employment Service, and others
To bridge this workforce gap, the "School of Furniture Maker" was launched as a free educational program featuring:
An educational series launched on Diia.Education, enabling continuous learning.
With a structured approach and an effective communication strategy, the initiative has become a key driver in closing the industry’s skills gap and supporting the growth of Ukraine’s furniture sector.
